MONICA L MOUER
MS, LCMHCS, CSAT, Certified EMDR Therapist
Monica is the founder and clinical director of the Center for Family Transformation. She is both counselor and consultant. Monica has a BS in Secondary Education from Kansas State University, an MS in Counselor Education from Western Illinois University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) in the state of North Carolina.
After several years of teaching in private and public schools, as well as serving with her husband in youth ministry around the country, Monica saw the need for families and individuals to be helped on a deeper level. Becoming a counselor has been very fulfilling for her, especially offering families and individuals the motivation and tools they need to be successful in life.
Over the years, her specialties have broadened to include teens, adults, families and couples. Monica is trained in a wide range of therapy modalities including: Gottman Marriage Therapy, Restoration Therapy, DBT, DNMS, and Psychodrama. Monica is an EMDR-certified trauma therapist and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). She has a passion to see individuals live to their fullest potential with peace of mind, purpose in action and joy for everyday living.
Monica is originally from Kansas, but lived in California, Oklahoma and Illinois before landing in North Carolina in 2006. She has been married to Wil for over two decades, and they have three children.
