MONICA L MOUER
MS, LPCS, CSAT-C, Certified EMDR Therapist
Monica is the founder and clinical director of the Center for Family Transformation. She is both a counselor and a consultant. Monica has a BS in Secondary Education from Kansas State University, an MS in Counselor Education from Western Illinois University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of North Carolina. Monica is originally from Salina, KS, but lived in California, Oklahoma and Illinois before landing in North Carolina in 2006. She has been married to Wil for over two decades, and they have three children.
After several years of teaching in both private and public schools and serving with her husband in youth ministry around the country, Monica saw the need for families and individuals to be helped on a deeper level. Becoming educated as a counselor and putting into practice how to offer families and individuals the motivation and the tools they need to be successful in life, has been very fulfilling.
Over the years, her specialties have broadened to include not only teens and their families, but also individual, adults and couples. Monica is trained in a wide range of therapy modalities including: Gottman Marriage Therapy, Restoration Therapy, DBT, DNMS, Psychodrama and is an EMDR certified trauma therapist and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). She has a passion to see individuals live to their full potential with peace of mind, purpose in action and joy for everyday living.
