 Marriage and family is the foundational building block of a healthy community and nation. The health and wellbeing of marriage and family has a direct impact on:

• Divorce and family breakdown
• The protection and raising of our children
• Domestic violence and abuse
• Poverty and crime
• Productivity levels in the workplace
• Education
• Health e.g. Aids
• Personal taxation and costs to governing the city

WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOPS:

1. To stand together as a united metropole to work out a policy to fight this giant that threatens to destroy the cement that holds our society together.

2. To adopt a commitment policy and to formulate and implement specific strategies to reduce the breakdown of marriages and family and the effect on society.
